Iconic Gathering Celebrates Industry’s Impact, Recognizes Annual Honorees,

Welcomes Top Chefs and Supports the REBNY Foundation

NEW YORK, NY – The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the city’s leading real estate trade association, today announced it will host the REBNY Annual on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

Now in its 128th year, the REBNY Annual once again welcomes the biggest names in real estate – as well as elected officials, labor leaders, and other stakeholders – to The Glasshouse, one of the city’s most in-demand venues with breathtaking waterfront and skyline views.

“Each year, the REBNY Annual celebrates real estate’s vital role in making New York the greatest city in the world,” said REBNY Chairman Douglas Durst. “With the event returning to its traditional January date, we will begin the new year with fresh energy and the historic spirit that has guided our industry forward for generations.”

“We are thrilled to gather industry leaders and our many civic partners for another incredible evening that serves up the remarkable tastes of New York City,” said REBNY President James Whelan. “The REBNY Annual is where visionaries and changemakers come together to enjoy the finest in food and drink while recognizing our collective impact on the city we love.”

As in recent years, the 2024 REBNY Annual will feature a cocktail hour and formal dinner featuring culinary offerings from some of New York City’s top chefs, with curated selections from leading restaurants including Chef Daniel Boulud’s Le Pavillon and Bar Boulud and Chef Hillary Sterling’s Ci Siamo. More details and other guest chefs will be announced in the coming weeks.

The event will also continue to put a spotlight on REBNY’s annual honorees – the winners of the most prestigious awards in New York City real estate. The annual honorees will be announced in the coming weeks and REBNY will recognize their incredible work in the months leading up to the event.

A portion of proceeds raised by the REBNY Annual will go to the REBNY Foundation, which supports the organization’s social impact initiatives. This includes a strong emphasis on increasing diversity and inclusion in the real estate industry through efforts such as the REBNY Fellows Leadership Program in partnership with Coro New York. REBNY’s social impact work also helped vastly increase the number of real estate internships this summer through New York City’s Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), as REBNY member participation increased nearly 30% compared to the prior year. Additionally, the REBNY Foundation supports ongoing work by the non-profit Building Skills New York to connect New Yorkers from historically underserved communities with good construction jobs and career opportunities.
