Statement By Real Estate Board of New York President James Whelan on New State Regulations To Combat Housing Discrimination

“The Real Estate Board of New York condemns housing discrimination wherever it occurs.  Every New Yorker deserves equal access when searching for a home. We continue to offer resources to our members to assist them in complying with all Fair Housing laws. The steps put forward by Governor Cuomo and the Department of State should help further heighten the importance that everyone, no matter their background, has the opportunity and access to live where they would like.”
