REBNY Statement on Signing of Federal Infrastructure Legislation

Following the bill signing ceremony today in Washington, D.C. at which President Biden signed a $1 trillion bipartisan infrastructure plan into law, REBNY President James Whelan released the following statement:

“This is a major milestone in efforts to jumpstart the nation’s economy and a critical step forward in New York City’s path to long-term economic recovery. The federal infrastructure package will support the investments in our region that we need to emerge from the pandemic stronger and more resilient.

“We applaud President Biden for his steadfast leadership and for making infrastructure a priority throughout his administration, and we applaud Majority Leader Chuck Schumer and New York’s Congressional delegation for the tireless advocacy that made this moment possible.
