Real Estate Board of New York Applauds Governor Cuomo’s State of the State Proposals to Reduce Emissions and Combat Climate Change

In response to Governor Andrew Cuomo’s State of the State announcement regarding efforts to reduce carbon emissions and combat the threat of climate change, REBNY President James Whelan released the following statement:

“Governor Cuomo and his administration took another big step today toward reaching our State’s ambitious carbon emissions reduction goals with major new investments in clean energy. It is critical to New York’s sustainability that New Yorkers — especially building owners in New York City who right now do not have access to adequate renewable energy options — are provided with reliable power that is not generated by fossil fuels.
