“We are shocked and saddened by the passing of our friend and industry partner, Héctor Figueroa who died suddenly last night.  This is a tragic loss for 32BJ and for the City of New York. Héctor was a respected and valued partner to the real estate industry. He devoted his life to the labor movement and to the property service workers – window cleaners, airport workers, superintendents, doormen, maintenance workers, cleaners, porters and security officers he represented. Héctor worked tirelessly to champion immigrant and workers’ rights. He fought against economic, social, and racial injustice.

Our deepest sympathies and condolences go out to his wife and two children, his friends, and the entire 32BJ community.”
