For a Career in the Real Estate Industry

Together, the Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY), the City University of New York (CUNY), and Project Destined are once again launching a paid internship Program in Commercial Real Estate for diverse CUNY undergraduate students. This year’s program is expanding to include 3 separate 10-week internship sessions.



PROGRAM DATES

REBNY x Project Destined Deliver Year-round training and development of CUNY students
across 3 seasonal cohorts. REBNY supports 150 students in total across the 3 cohorts.

  • Fall (September through December)

  • Spring (January through April)

  • Summer (June to August) 

SUMMER DATES
  • Application Deadline: March 15th, 2022

  • Onboarding Dates: May 2nd, 2022 – June 4th, 2022

  • Program Activities: June 6th, 2022 – August 12th, 2022

*PLEASE NOTE: As explained below, the 2022 Internship Program will include three separate 10-week sessions. The dates noted above apply to the first session. The two additional session application deadlines and program dates will be announced in the coming weeks.

PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS

  • 4 hours per week attending virtual instruction (interns may also have opportunities for in-person training)

  • 3 hours per week of independent learning

  • Mandatory participation in virtual meetings

  • Interns will be placed in one of the
         following sessions:
              • 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. Monday and Wednesday
              • 5:00 p.m. — 7:00 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday
              • Must have access to a computer and high-speed internet

QUALIFICATIONS

NYC Resident presently enrolled in a CUNY school.

COMPENSATION

For their participation in the program, students will receive $500 and up to an additional $500 through competition.
