Let The Competition Begin! REBNY Announces Nominations for NYC’s Top Commercial Deals of 2014

--Who will take home this year’s REBNY Ingenious Deal of the Year Awards?--

 New York City commercial real estate’s most prestigious competition, to claim the Real Estate Board of New York’s (REBNY’s) prize for the top commercial real estate deal of the year, has officially begun. Submissions are in for REBNY’s 2014 Sales Brokers Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Awards, which will be presented on Tuesday, April 28, 2015 at the Sales Brokers Committee’s 70th Annual Cocktail Party at Club 101.

“The Ingenious Deal of the Year Awards are REBNY’s most coveted prizes for commercial  dealmakers, and each year we look forward to the tough competition as the judges determine who has completed the most innovative, creative, and challenging transaction,” said Steven Spinola, REBNY President. “Ranging from retail to education, religious institutions to hotels, and spanning across the boroughs, we received a wide array of transactions, which speaks to the diverse landscape of deals that our members are deftly engineering in this city.”

Winners will be judged in the categories of sales, leasing, and finance by a panel of industry leaders. The honors are presented to the dealmakers that demonstrate the most ingenuity, creativity and professional skill.

The Henry Hart Rice Award, which memorializes Henry Hart Rice, a Most Ingenious Deal of the Year Award winner and five-time Robert T. Lawrence Award recipient, will be presented to the first-place winner. The Robert T. Lawrence Award is the second place award and the Edward S. Gordon Award is the third place award.
