REBNY's Elite New York Residential Specialist Program Launches Website

New York, August 1, 2012 - In partnership with The Real Estate Board of New York, the Executive Committee of New York Residential Specialists—NYRS—proudly introduces www.nyrs.net, the online home of REBNY’s NYRS program and its agent network. The site welcomes visitors with an elegant, uncluttered design and iconic images of New York City, and announces its underlying purpose on the homepage: “Raising the Bar in Residential Real Estate.”

Addressing consumers and agents separately, the “About Us” tab describes the new professional credential, the highest awarded by the Real Estate Board of New York, which identifies those who have achieved an advanced level of study and the top tier of success in residential sales. A Directory profiles nearly 200 agents from more than 25 different brokerage companies who have thus far achieved the designation. There are clickable links to the brokers’ individual company pages which detail current and past properties. 

A Blog features content rich posts from agent contributors, as well as links to entries on Facebook and Twitter.  The website also recognizes eight companies as program sponsors including Citibank, Rosabianca & Associates, The Manhattan Mortgage Company, Gibraltar Private Bank & Trust, Belkin Burden et al, Allstate, BNOLimit General Contracting and StreetEasy. 

At a celebratory launch party attended by more than 125 industry leaders and supporters, co-chairs Shirley Hackel (Warburg Realty) and Frank Russo (Halstead Property) stressed:  “We’ve set the bar high for excellence.  For the industry, the new designation and website are all about maintaining high standards of professionalism, ethics and leadership.  For consumers, the credential is the industry’s quality control and veritable seal of approval.”

Web developer Jared Seeger of Knightsbridge, added: “The NYRS website is a phenomenal platform that empowers agents to connect to one another, reach potential buyers and sellers, and distribute relevant information to industry leaders.  It isn't a monologue, but is designed to be a dialogue in which anyone can participate.” 

Within the industry, the credential signals immediate credibility and recognition.  Echoing the sentiments of the crowd, Sophia Cicilioni, Sales Manager at The Marketing Directors, asserted:  “In this ‘new’ market of evaporating inventory, with more and more agents looking for a piece of the same pie, we need to rise above the pack to show that NYRS brokers are truly a cut above and have the expertise and cooperation of a top broker network in New York.” 

Limited spaces are filling quickly for the fall semester educational program which begins October 1, 2012. Brokers who seek to enroll must be recommended by their managers and meet qualifying criteria.
