CRAIN'S -- Google grows Chelsea Market footprint, again
March 27, 2014
The internet search behemoth whose name is synonymous with online quests and whose arrival many real estate experts credit with igniting the city’s recent tech boom is in the process of turning midtown south into the most prized office neighborhood.
Google is signing on for another 75,000 square feet at Chelsea Market, the retail and office building where the tech firm already has nearly 320,000 square feet. The deal is the third expansion for the company, which took an additional 90,000 square feet at the property in the beginning of the year and then subsequently tacked on another 18,000 square feet.
