Mark calendars for residential real estate's big night out
October 17, 2012
It’s residential real estate’s biggest event of the year. A night that delivers great networking with hundreds of your industry’s colleagues and a chance to make some incredible deals. The Real Estate Board of New York’s 24th Annual Residential Deal of the Year Awards and Charity Gala on Thursday, Oct. 25 at the Metropolitan Pavilion is not to be missed.
This year’s fashion-themed event will feature a runway show of designs by Cesar Galindo and recognizes the most notable residential sales and rental deals, including re-sales, new development sales and rental transactions that have closed between September 16, 2011 and September 14, 2012.
The night also honors industry professionals with two prestigious awards, the Henry Forster Award for lifetime achievement within the industry and community and the Rookie Salesperson of the Year Award for an agent or broker with two years or less in the business that has shown great promise and accomplishment. All winners are announced that night.
During the Gala, Galindo will present his 2013 fashions in a special runway show for attendees. In addition to having his own clothing line, Galindo has designed for The Miami City Ballet, Calvin Klein, Dolce & Gabbana, Madonna, Chaka Khan, and Gwen Stefani, among others.
REBNY’s Residential Deal of the Year Awards and Charity Gala is a must-attend event for industry professionals to honor their colleagues for some incredible deals made in the last year while also a way for the industry to give back and help those in need.
In addition to the awards and fashion show, there will be a raffle with prizes from top-name designers. Proceeds from the raffle and the event will benefit the REBNY Residential Member in Need Fund, which gives financial grants to REBNY members facing hardship because of a physical illness or family crisis. Over the last 24 years, the Gala has raised more than $2 million for various charities including the Member in Need Fund.
This year’s 24th Annual Residential Deal of the Year Awards and Charity Gala joins together real estate and fashion to create what will surely be an exciting night to remember and a chance to make some great industry contacts for possible deal making. I encourage all to attend and hope to see you on Oct. 25.
Tickets are $425 for individuals and $400 for groups of 10 or more. For more information, contact Jeanne Oliver-Taylor at firstname.lastname@example.org.
