Paul Januszewski has 25 years of experience managing urban planning, design, and construction projects in New York City, with primary focus on public/private partnerships and waterfront redevelopment. His experience includes planning and policymaking, design processes incorporating multiple stakeholders, environmental and land use approvals, regulatory permitting, and construction management.\n
Paul is currently Vice President for Planning at Rockrose Development Corp., one of New York’s largest residential and commercial developers, where he is responsible for strategic planning, management of development projects, and external relations. Development projects include Rockrose\'s 1.4 million SF development site in Hudson Yards and over 2,500 units of residential housing in development in Long Island City.\n
Paul previously served as President of Queens West Development Corporation, a partnership of the State of New York, the City of New York and the Port Authority of NY & NJ created to remediate and redevelop 74 acres of industrial waterfront property along the East River into a new residential community and waterfront park.\n
Paul was also Vice President of Transportation and Waterfront Development at New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), where he was responsible for redevelopment of the City’s waterfront properties. His projects included redevelopment of the Battery Maritime Building (a New York City Landmark), redevelopment of the City’s cruise terminals and trade show facilities along Manhattan’s westside piers (Pier 88 – 94), and construction of the West Midtown Ferry Terminal and several East River ferry landings.\n
Before NYCEDC, Paul was a transportation planner for the New York City Department of City Planning (NYCDCP) where he managed the reconfiguration of Columbus Circle and other pedestrian and transportation planning projects. Prior to that, Paul served as Director of Outreach for Chrysalis Center, a not-for-profit organization serving the homeless on Los Angeles’ skid row.\n
Paul graduated from Boston College and also received a Masters in Public Administration from New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service."'
