Caroline Bass is a friendly and welcoming agent -- qualities many of her new clients find to be a pleasant surprise. In 2007 Caroline formed The Bass Team to ensure every client received undivided attention and expert guidance. The Bass Team, comprised of Susan Di Leo, Diana Mitchell and Katie McConaghy, prides themselves on listening carefully to each client. They have been recognized for skillful negotiation and the ability to get transactions done, no matter how complicated or difficult. Their customers know that the team is personally invested in their housing search and that each team member will address their needs as if they were their very own. The team's collective finger is on the pulse of the fast paced New York City market enabling them to specialize in sales, rentals and investment properties in all Manhattan neighborhoods.
Caroline’s success in the industry is unprecedented. Since 2005 Caroline has consistently been a top producer and has been honored every year with awards ranging from the Outstanding Customer Service Award, to The Deal of the Year Award, to Sales Team of the Year to Top Producing Agent. Caroline was voted Best Broker in Manhattan by The Real Deal in 2010 and Forbes 30 Under 30 in 2012. In 2013 she was named one of 21 Unstoppable Real Estate Hotshots by Business Insider. One hundred percent of her business is referral-based, which speaks to her unwavering work ethic and devotion to her clients’ needs. Well-respected by the media, Caroline has appeared on Bravo TV, WNBC, NPR and Smart Money TV and has been quoted by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Business Insider, Forbes Magazine and The New York Post.
A native northeasterner, Caroline has a strong background in the arts -- she studied art history in Florence, Italy; photography at the University of Connecticut; and large-scale metal sculpting with a professional artist. Her experience working in a custom jewelry store on Martha’s Vineyard brings a unique dimension to Caroline’s vast business experience. A lifelong learner, Caroline continues to feed her intellectual curiosity when she can, whether taking an art class at the Museum of Modern Art or studying business marketing at NYU. Caroline is currently pursuing her MBA.
Despite her dedication to her clients and her business, Caroline finds ways to give back. She is the founder of the University of Connecticut Alumni Chapter in New York City and continues to be actively involved; she returns to her alma mater as a regular guest lecturer. Additionally, Caroline has supported several charities throughout her career, including the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Hole in the Wall Camp and Prep for Prep.
