Noreen began her career at the Brooklyn Catholic Charities as an area director and non-profit housing developer. She later worked for AHRC, an organization that serves individuals with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, as the co-director of the real property department.

In 1987, she went into commercial management and worked for LCL Management, managing strip shopping centers and office space, and then in 1991 she joined Brown Harris Stevens. In 1993, she relocated with her husband to the North Fork of Long Island to grow garlic on four acres in Mattituck, while at the same time returning to her not-for-profit roots and serving as the director of graduate admissions at Southampton College. In 2000, she was enticed back to co-op management, rejoining Brown Harris Stevens. As Managing Director/Senior Vice-President there, she manages 13 co-op apartment buildings, and is responsible for preparing and presenting over $35 million in annual operating budgets.

Noreen holds a master’s degree in Community Organization and Planning from Hunter College School of Social Work, as well as a Master of Fine Arts in English and Writing from Southampton College.
