SCHOOL POLICIES

Notice to students regarding school policies and course requirements.

Online Policy

School Name
The Real Estate Board of New York (REBNY) is approved by the New York State Division of Licensing to offer a variety of education programs. REBNY is located at 570 Lexington Avenue, New York, NY 10022.

Registration
Broker Qualifying Course and In-house Continuing Education course offerings require pre-registration. The registration form(s) can be downloaded from the appropriate links. On-line continuing education course(s) allow one to register online. This can be accomplished by accessing the Register for Computer Assisted CE Link.

Instructor Information
Each Broker Qualifying and Continuing Education course is presented by New York State Department of State approved instructors.

Course Requirements
No licensed person shall receive credit for any course or course module presented in a class-room setting if he or she is absent from the class room, during any instructional period, for a period or periods totaling more than 10 percent of the time prescribed for the course.

School Records
REBNY will maintain for a period of 5 years the following information in each student record: The students name, address, state registration number, course title and date of enrollment and completion.

Cancellation Policy
Broker Qualifying, Continuing Education, and Non-credit Seminar programs can only be cancelled in writing no later than 3-days prior to the start of the program.

Prohibition of Recruiting
Recruiting for employment opportunities for any real estate brokerage firm must be accomplished outside the prescribed classroom instructional time. Please report any violations to Indi Jaipal at 212-532-3100.

School Requirements
REBNY will not base course fees, entrance standards, or standards for successful completion of a course on a student’s race, color, sex, religion, national origin, handicap or familial status.
