Extracts from the Constitution of the Real Estate Board of New York, Inc.

ARTICLE II, Section 1.

(h) Salesperson: Every salesperson, in good standing, employed in a Manhattan office of a Broker A Member, and whose application is endorsed by his or her employer or employing firm, shall apply for election as a Salesperson Member and if elected shall pay the dues prescribed for a Salesperson Member, unless he or she shall have membership in one of the classes of Broker C. In any case, the employing firm shall be responsible for the payment of the dues of such salesperson when admitted to membership.

ARTICLE IV Section 2.

The annual dues for a Salesperson Member shall be $280.00 a year payable annually in advance, on the first day of January. RLS member firm applicants annual dues is $250.

New applicants will receive provisional membership pending action by the Admissions Committee. The Admissions Committee must review a new member's application no later than 60 days from receipt of the application. In the event that the Admissions Committee does not reject the applicant, then the provisional membership shall become full memebrship. A provisional member shall have the full rights and obligations, during the 60-day period, of full membership.
